Fonts % ("us", "we", or "our") operates the Fonts % mobile application, including its custom keyboard extension (together, the "Service"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the Service does and does not collect, how it is used, and the choices you have.
By using the Service, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. Terms not defined here have the meaning given in our Terms of Service.
Summary
Fonts % is designed to work locally on your device. We do not operate our own analytics servers, we do not collect the text you type on the keyboard, and we do not sell your personal data. Subscriptions and payments are handled entirely by Apple.
Information We Collect
Information you provide
The core features of the Service — browsing fonts, emoticons, symbols, and typing with the custom keyboard — do not require you to create an account or provide personal information.
Purchase and subscription information
Fonts % offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions that unlock all premium fonts. Purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store using StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment card details.
To confirm your subscription status and prevent fraud, the app reads the App Store receipt issued by Apple on your device and sends it to Apple's receipt-verification service (verifyReceipt) over a secure connection. Apple returns the subscription's expiration date, which is stored locally on your device to determine whether premium features are unlocked. This process does not identify you personally to us.
Locally stored data
The app stores your preferences and subscription status locally on your device (including in a shared App Group container so the keyboard extension can read your premium status). This data stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app.
Keyboard Full Access
The Fonts % keyboard can request "Full Access". Full Access is used only to allow the keyboard to open the main app (for example, to show the subscription page) and to enable standard keyboard functionality. The keyboard does not record, store, or transmit the keystrokes or text you enter. You can enable or disable Full Access at any time in Settings > General > Keyboard > Keyboards.
Automatically collected information
When you use the App Store to download or subscribe, Apple may collect information in accordance with Apple's own privacy policy. Standard, non-personal diagnostic information may also be collected by Apple's platform if you have opted in to share it with developers.
How We Use Information
- To provide, maintain, and improve the Service;
- To process and validate subscriptions and restore purchases;
- To unlock and display premium features to entitled users;
- To prevent fraud and abuse of the subscription entitlement;
- To respond to your support requests.
Third-Party Services
The Service relies on the following third parties, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Apple App Store / StoreKit — for distribution, payments, subscription management, and receipt verification. See Apple's Privacy Policy.
We do not integrate third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the app.
Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal data. We may disclose information only where required to comply with a legal obligation, to protect our rights or property, to investigate possible wrongdoing, or to protect the safety of users or the public.
Data Security
Receipt validation is performed over secure (HTTPS) connections. Preferences and entitlement data are stored locally on your device. However, no method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Data Retention
Locally stored preferences and subscription status remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app. Purchase and subscription records are retained by Apple according to Apple's policies.
Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can address it.
Your Rights
Because the Service does not collect personal data on our own servers, most data is under your direct control on your device. You may delete all locally stored data by uninstalling the app. For questions about data held by Apple related to your purchases, please refer to Apple's privacy resources.
International Users
The Service is operated as an App Store application. Any processing performed by Apple may occur in jurisdictions outside your own, subject to Apple's safeguards and privacy policy.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes are effective when posted, and the "Effective date" above will be updated. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
